I did not think I would be interested in paranormal mysteries but I was willing to give it a try.  I love different genres and will give any book a chance. I am glad I did. I find paranormal books to be a fun read.  One author I enjoy is Leighann Dobbs, author of the Blackmoore Sister series.  This series is about four sisters who live together in their family home in Maine.  There are 10 books in the series and each one is different enough to keep the stories exciting. I enjoy the relationship between the sisters.  Each develops a love interest which is quite passive but the comradery between the siblings and their partners is heartwarming.  We all wish we had such strong relationships.

The first book, Dead Wrong introduces the sisters and the life they live.  Of course there is always a murder the sheriff is trying to pin on one of the sisters.

The second story, Dead and Buried, includes modern day pirates.  Perhaps a little far fetched but so is the concept of a government in search of “treasure” while seeking out people with not so ordinary talents.  Although I am not a believer in paranormal powers, no offense to those who do believe, it is a fun read with lots of questions as to what is going to happen next. As the story develops, so does romance, (very clean, not so spicy).  The story develops into a treasure hunt with interesting twists and turns.

Book 3 continues with the Pirates looking for treasure in Dead Tide.  The Blackmore sisters learn more about their power and they have to figure out clues to find the treasure before the pirates do.

Book 4, Buried Secrets. The Blackmoore sisters find themselves traveling to a ghost town to look for a treasure. Who is good and who is bad?  There are ghosts and clues and of course their trusty cat but will they find the treasure before one of them ends up dead.

Book 5, Deadly intentions is filled with nail biting excitement as the Blackmoore sisters go on a hunt for their missing sister.  In the process of looking for her, there is a surprise waiting for them in the end.  Don’t miss this one!

Book 6, A Grave Mistake brings another death close to home.  The villain, Dr. Bly shows up again, instilling fear in the girls as they look for a relic before Bly’s men find it and take them out.

Book 7, Spell Found takes place in Salem Massachusetts where the sisters are looking for an energy infused treasure that gets them tangled up with witches, ghosts and death.  The question is what is. the price of finding the relic?

Book 8, Fatal Fortune takes place on a deserted island, or so they think.  There is a pirate ghost who leads them on a treasure hunt however, the question is, will they survive?

Book 9, Hidden Secrets.  When a paranormal healer ends up dead, will Morgan end up in jail?  She is keeping secrets from her loved ones. We all know how that ends up.

Book 10, Celestial Chaos.  The title says it all. There is chaos: feuding wizards and lots of paranormal activities to make you squirm in your easy chair. This may be the last book in the series so far, but you will definitely want more.

The only question that crops up in this series is how Overton shows up again.  In Dead Tide he supposedly fell to his death. (I hope this doesn’t give away too much about the story.)  All of a sudden he reappears!  That being said, I loved each book and definitely recommend it.
